DIN Module – main control unit of the VArio system
DIN module is the main unit of the VArio intelligent pool control system. VArio DIN module is available either as an integral part of a Vágner Pool electroautomatic control unit, or the DIN may be purchased separately and then be built-in into an already-existing breaker box.
The intelligent VArio system allows the user to control the pool over a local WIFI network, over the internet od using a local radio remote controller. The DIN module enables service access of a selected poolbuilder over the Internet, together with alarm / operation status messaging over E-mail or via SMS.
The main DIN module of version 1.4 can be expanded with the following modules:
DIN LIGHTS Module (item 516201) – an add-on module for advanced lights control, adding 2 additional attractions
DIN PUMPS Module (item 516402) – an add-on module for advanced control of smart pumps and frequency inverters, with inputs for 2 external pulse switches or communication with automatic 6-way valves Omnitronic / Aquastar or DIN ZELIO module for BESGO valve control.
DIN SWITCH Module (516403) – an add-on module module for attractions and lights control (ON/OFF mode) using up to 5 external backlit / unlit pulse switches. A DIN ZELIO module for BESGO valve control may be connected at the same time, allowing direct signal communication with the VArio system.
DIN ZELIO Module (516Z00) – an add-on module for BESGO valve control. May be used alone or in combination with the VArio system.
VArio System Controls
The DIN module itself does not have any control interface. it is always necessary to purchase a WIFI module, which may be supplemented by a direct remote controller (RC module).
The ideal basic combination is the DIN module with a WiFi module, which enables remote control of the system via the Internet as well as remote diagnostics and online support by a selected pool builder / service technician.
The basic set of the DIN+WIFI modules can be complemented with an RC module for local radio control. The RC module has IP 65 protection (it is resistant to splashing water or rain) which makes it suitable for pool-side use.
Technology control
The main DIN module has 6 outputs for intelligent control of the following technologies:
Output 1: Filtration – AUTO = 4 programmable time intervals, manual ON without or with dosing and permanent OFF
Output 2: Attraction 2 – timer 0-120 min. The function Output 2 can be configured to Dosing ON/OFF (see below)
Dosing ON/OFF – an alternative function of Output 2: operation of a SW Chlorinator without own measuring / UV lamp depending on filtration time - 25% / 50% / 75% / 100% of the total preset filtration time
Output 3: Lights – timer 0-240 min, OFF or permanently ON
Attraction 3 – an alternative function of Output 3: after connecting the VArio LIGHTS add-on module, output 3 function changes to Attraction 3 with timer 0-120 min (the Lights function is transferred to DIN LIGHTS module).
Output 4: Heating/Cooling – heat source control according to measured resp. preset water temperature, with heating priority function
Output 5: Attraction 1 – timer 0-120 min.
Output 6 (RS485) – VA SALT SMART/VA DOS automatic dosing units with own measuring and MODBUS communication, with online dosing control
2 technology-control inputs are also available on the DIN Module Version 1.4:
Input 1: Flow switch
- protection of technologies fully dependent on sufficient water flow (dosing, heating etc.)
Input 2 – multiple functions:
A) Technology room flooding monitoring (default from version 1.4)
- Input for a flood sensor, to monitor the water level in the technical room or shaft.
- Turns off filter pump and shuts down all other technology, to prevent operation under water
- A "FLOOD ALARM" is immediately raised
or as alternative
B) Pool cover position monitoring
- optimization of technology operation, with regard to pool cover position open/closed (from DIN Version 1.2).
- PARTY MODE: automatic filtration activation upon pol opening (from DIN Version 1.3)
or as alternative
C) Compensation tank water level monitoring
- automatic temporary filtration activation, when the compensation tank is full = overflow protection (from DIN Version 1.3)
Connecting a VA DOS / VA SALT SMART water treatment unit
A communication cable is required to connect the VA DOS / VA SALT SMART unit to the DIN module. Order the cable Nr. 516130 or 51613010 (a 3m / 10m connection cable to a Vágner Pool VArio automatics, with connector on the box) or the 516132 or 51613210 (a 3m / 10m connection cable directly to the DIN module).
To extablish a communication with VA SALT SMART unit, the Communication module VA SALT SMART (item no. 516141) will be needed as well.
In order to connect an older VA DOS dosing unit, it may be necessary to upgrade the main electronics (replacement part No. RIC0151815).
Note: In the case of installing the VArio intelligent system on an existing older implementation, we recommend a consultation regarding communication with the dosing station.
IMPORTANT: The VArio system is meant to be installed and launched by an experienced pool technician. The proiducer has no responsibility over fault installation or misuse of the system and it;s components.
